Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
Regular Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
Supervision Received: The Application Administrator reports to the Associate Director of Enterprise Systems.
Supervision Exercised: None.
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 (To be commensurate with education and experience).

General Statement of Duties: The Application Administrator is a key resource on the Enterprise Systems team, responsible for managing key websites and front-end systems in support of the Westfield State University strategic goals and mission. Responsibilities include analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and administration of enterprise applications. The application administrator works closely with ITS team members and under the direction of the Associate Director of Enterprise Systems. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but not limited to:
Essential:

  • Manager and lead technical support for University ERP based intranet and related applications.
  • Supports students, faculty and staff accessing the ERP based intranet and authorized content.
  • Establishes and follows procedures for the update of the ERP based intranet content.
  • Establishes regular communication with campus groups to ensure portal content is relevant and updated.
  • Develops and maintains content in enterprise systems.
  • Works directly with the System Administrator and Database Administrator to ensure systems remain secure, patched and online.
  • Responsible for the management of security groups and related roles, as they relate to accessing system content.
  • Works with and assists with the integration and single-sign on to third party software systems.
  • Administration and support of the Ellucian EPrint system.
  • Administration and support of Ellucian Ethos Identity and Integration.
  • Provides technical support for web applications including Ellucian Banner Self Service Applications.
  • Receives and responds to technical cases generated from the Support Desk ticket system.
  • Manages and supports Microsoft Sharepoint sites and integration as they relate to Enterprise Systems.
  • Assesses, evaluates, and provides advice on long term plans to meet anticipated University business needs as they related to enterprise systems.
  • Maintains documentation on applications developed and modified.
  •  Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a computer-based field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in computer related field.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2 years progressive experience with Ellucian Banner. 
  • SQL programming knowledge. 
  • HTML/XML/XSLT knowledge.
  • CAS/SAML knowledge. 


Additional Information:

Salary:
For the majority of new employees, the minimum starting salary will apply. Specific salary for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining and state policies and procedures.

Covid-19 Requirements:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to complete an initial series of COVID vaccination (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of J&J) prior to coming to campus.
