Are you passionate about helping the homeless population find housing in the local Western Massachusetts community?

Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as the Housing Specialist in the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the PACT program with the following:

  • Helping individuals find and maintain a safe and affordable place to live.
  • Developing relationships with housing providers and resources including Section 8, HUD, and local housing authorities.
  • Advocating for individuals regarding housing issues that may arise.
  • Serving as the primary case manager for their assigned caseload.
  • Helping individuals maintain and enhance their social support network by building relationships with community organizations, encouraging independence, competency, and decision-making.
  • Implementing strategies to meet treatment plan goals.
  • Monitoring the overall health and well-being of individuals, including medication treatment and administration.
  • Completing assessments as well as treatment and financial management plans.
  • Providing crisis intervention and emergency services, as needed.
  • Providing safe and timely transportation in their own vehicle as needed.

The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) program is a highly integrated outreach and 24/7 residential program that helps individuals meet their goals and reduce hospitalizations. PACT provides clinical wraparound support in the community and in our group residential program to perpetuate recovery and wellness for the individuals served. The PACT team is forensic-focused and designed to reduce arrests and incarcerations.

What are we looking for in a Housing Specialist?

  • Commitment to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration of individuals served.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • At least one year of experience in human services (preferred).
  • Experience with Homelessness and Housing (preferred).
  • MAP Certification (preferred), or to be obtained within introductory period of employment (required).
  • Availability to work weekends, second shifts, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable car available for working hours (required).
