Customer Service and Support:
- Provides customer service and support to users of microcomputer hardware and software
- Responsible for complex end user support and desktop PC maintenance, troubleshooting, updates and network connectivity
- Maintains password security for authorized access to computers
- Timely and accurately installs microcomputer hardware systems and software including upgrades and enhancements
- Evaluates needs of user departments and recommends hardware and software solutions
- Tests new software programs and updates existing programs prior to installation
- Conducts problem-solving research
- Plan, develop, and coordinate training programs/classes in the use of microcomputers and other peripherals (as needed)
- Stays abreast of current advances/updates in technology
- Maintains database of system changes and revisions
- Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
- Associates Degree in Computer Science required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in configuring, troubleshooting, installing, and maintenance of software and computer systems; required
- Valid Mississippi driver's license and good driving record; required
- Operational knowledge of microcomputers and related equipment; required
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and networking basics; required
- Working knowledge of mobile device support and maintenance; required
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required
- Epic experience and certification a plus
