Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients, families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Essential duties include Patient documentation, Direct patient care, assessment; Medication administration, Discharge planning, community resource referral and education, actively participates in the quality improvement process. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Takes responsibility for self development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.   

1 year RN experience required.    Emergency Services experience preferred.   

Education Required:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred.

Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.

License Requirements:

Registered nurse with current license to practice in the State of Ohio.

Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
