City of Nevada City Full Time Wastewater Treatment Operator II (WWTPII)/ Water Treatment Operator II (WTPII)

Hourly Rate: $26.06-$31.68 per hour + benefits

Primary Duties: Operates the WWTP and WTP and related equipment; assists with maintain of plant equipment & facilities; performs collection of lab samples for testing & use of chemicals; maintains op logs; performs required calculus.

Minimum Qualifications: Possess valid WTP Op T-2 license from CA or Grade II WWTP license and WTP Op T-2 license from CA, strong mechanical background preferred.

Water and wastewater treatment plant and system operators typically do the following: Add chemicals, such as ammonia or chlorine, to disinfect water or other liquids. Inspect equipment on a regular basis. Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges.
