Columbia County Public Works is seeking a Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist. This position is responsible for maintaining Public Works related GIS data pertaining to pavement management, road inventory, and addressing; Maintaining the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) mapping system; Working with Public Works staff and other County departments to establish and maintain the GIS system primarily using ESRI software; Responding to GIS-related inquiries from internal and external customers including Emergency Management, 911, Assessor’s Office, Auditor’s Office, and Planning and Building; Performing miscellaneous work in engineering and GIS-related analysis, cartography, and data collection. Wages range from $31.56 to $38.37 per hour ($65,654 to $79,803 per year) Depends on qualification. The county offers a generous benefits package which includes paid vacation and sick leave, 11 paid holidays plus two floating holidays per year, $950 per month stipend for Medical, Vision and Dental insurance, Washington Public Employees Retirement Systems (PERS), and an HRA VEBA Account. Life Insurance, Disability Insurance and Deferred Compensation Plans are available. Relocation assistance to Columbia County is also available.
