Hidalgo County Appraisal District is accepting applications until January 5, 2018 for the position of Commercial/ Industrial Appraiser

Education/ Experience:

• High School graduate with a minimum of sixty (60) hours of college courses, college graduate preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate computer programs for appraisal use;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with others;
• Commitment to providing excellent public service;
• a Registered Professional Appraiser (RPA) is desirable or in a program working toward a Level IV designation

Major Duties:

• Perform mainly appraisals of heavy commercial and industrial property.
• Also performs light commercial, industrial, residential and personal property appraisals.
• Performs research and analyzes work relative to property valuations and tax matters; supervises and prepares input data for the computer, verifies input and output computer data to ensure correctness; trains and develops assigned personnel.
