Position Summary |
LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty. We invite you to submit your curriculum vitae for the following faculty position: Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Nurse Coordinator. Incumbent is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing Continuing Professional Development and Entrepreneurial Enterprise in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of faculty development & nursing continuing professional development programs in accordance with American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) standards and School of Nursing’s strategic initiatives. The Nurse Coordinator is expected to collaborate with the Dean, Associate Deans, Directors and Departments in identifying opportunities for nursing entrepreneurial activities to develop, implement and provide to the community of interest. Responsible for the Provider Unit in adherence to ANCC accreditation by implementing the operational requirements for accredited providers; Assist with the development & management of contracts with partners, agencies and speakers; Development of partnerships to meet the learning needs of the nursing community; Assist with budgetary & financial reports; Assist with evaluation & quality improvement initiatives of the dept.; Assist with preparation of reports to maintain accreditation status, ANCC, LSBN, NLN and other reports as required; Serve as nurse planner & assist with professional development & learning activities; Assist with assuring that all Nurse Planners are appropriately prepared, oriented & trained to the ANCC Accreditation Program requirements for that role; Assist with budget development for each program; Engage in interdisciplinary professional development programs; Assist with management of program registrations, revenue collection & certificate management; Assist with supervision of administrative assistant to ensure payments to vendors, speakers, contractors , bulk rate mail, etc. are made in a timely & accurate manner; Develop marketing materials for nursing continuing professional development activities; Assist in the provision of nursing continuing professional development credit for faculty development programs; Serve on School of Nursing Committees; Attend educational activities on ANCC accreditation as available; Other duties as assigned. |
