RN graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Training, experience, or references demonstrating competence in the healthcare and education of women.- Current license to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana and Healthcare Provider CPR certification required. Responsible for the care map of patients entering The Breast Center as outpatients for the purpose of breast health screenings, diagnostics and education.- Accountable for initiating and utilizing the nursing process including follow up for patients with abnormal screening results.- Facilitates interdisciplinary communication in a timely manner and provides consistency of care for breast cancer patients.- Provides support services for patients and their families from the initial discovery of breast cancer through all phases of treatment.- Supportive services may include facilitating breast cancer support groups, teaching, providing resource materials and referrals to specialty disciplines.
