Overview

ATSS is looking for an IT Deputy Director for a client in the Mobile, AL. area
 
GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Assists the Information Technology Director with the operation and performance of the IT systems to include data centers, servers, storage networks, communications (voice and data) networks, financial and ERP systems, all software and end user devices.  Assists with providing direction to IT staff for setup, repair, and maintenance of all information systems within the company. Reports directly to the Information Technology Director.

Proactively manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems including: servers, personal computers, operating systems, telephones, software applications, and peripherals.
Assist with managing security of network, systems and enterprise information. 
Oversee and manage multiple strategic initiatives being executed simultaneously.
Work in partnership with the Information Technology Director to ensure compliance with information technology architecture, standards, policies and methodologies.
Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users.
Plan, implement and maintain technology Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
Ready organization for IT security audits or investigations.
Plan, organize, and manage complex purchase processes, including negotiations with service providers and vendors for hardware and software acquisitions.
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Information Technology Director.

Knowledgeable about Disaster Recovery.
Proficient with systems analysis techniques, structured design techniques, and information systems implementation modeling.
 

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years’ experience in Information Systems leadership or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Strong knowledge of technical infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams, adjusting and setting priorities to meet deadlines, and managing staff.
