General Description
As a key member of the Workforce Innovation Business Center (
WIBC
) the Center Generalist will be responsible for developing relationships with businesses in Union County in order to (a) understand employer hiring needs at all levels of their business and (b) help
WIBC
students to fill those needs.
Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities
• Obtains job orders from employers, makes that information available to
WIBC
students, and works with other
WIBC
staff to identify suitable candidates. 
• Ensures that candidates are properly equipped for the available opportunities. 
• Connects candidates with employers. 
• Follows up with employers and candidates to provide follow up support and document results. 
• Works with local businesses to understand their new employee skill requirements. 
• Provides that information to
WIBC
staff instructors to integrate into
RSC
course curriculum
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience
• Knowledge of Union County and Elizabeth area businesses, the Mills at Jersey Gardens merchants, and Union County employers in general.

• Valid Driver’s License
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled. 
• Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk. 
• Some travel required.
