Coordination:

* Coordinates standardization and the implementation of product conversion plans in cooperation with all clinical customers of Supply Chain

Research:

* Query applicable data bases for latest technical/clerical information relevant to product decisions

Staff Relations:

* Works with clinical/medical staff, including members of the outlying facilities, to identify and clarify requirements and product specifications
* Identifies opportunities to reduce product utilization through standardization and improved clinical practice

Supplier Relations:

* Works with supplier community to resolve clinical problems related to products.
* Coordinates the processes of product recalls and Health Device Alerts including user notification, the pulling of product from inventory/use, determination of quality, acceptable substitute items and the return/credit/replacement of affected inventory items

Legal:

* Query applicable data bases to remain abreast of the latest legal/regulatory (OSHA, CDC, JCAHO, etc.) requirements regarding product use

Regulatory:

* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
* Complies with applicable State/Federal/Regulatory Policies/Procedures/Guidelines/Laws

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Science or related field; required/Master's Degree; preferred
* Thorough understanding of Med/Surg product use in a clinical setting; required
* Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills; required
