Voci Technologies, Inc. FKA Silicon Vox Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA seeks Principal Speech Engineer Computer and Information Research Scientist.

Duties include continuous responsibilities for designing and developing the company’s acoustic models to increase the accuracy of speech recognition systems. These job duties include leading the development of algorithm and procedures for discriminatively trained acoustic models, researching emerging technologies to continue to improve the accuracy of the company’s V-Blaze speech recognition system, providing in-depth testing of Voci’s proprietary V-Blaze system, and research supporting the development and maintenance of the company’s product roadmap.

Requires: Ph.D. in Computer and Information Systems or Computer Science, and two years of experience in Speech Recognition research. Must have knowledge of Speech Signal Processing and Advanced Signal Processing, Numeric Analysis, Optimization Theory, acoustic model adaptation technologies and their application to speech recognition systems, and speech bandwidth extension for speech recognition. $145,000/year.
