Primary Duties: Candidate must be an exp. Accounting & Admin. Professional. Job functions include revenues, expenditures, P/R processing, A/P, A/R, cash management, GL, fixed assets, accounting polices & procedures, budget support, accounting analysis, grant accounting, HR/admin.
Minimum Qualification: AA/BA +2 years accounting and administration experience preferred or High School 7-10 years prof level accounting, public agency experience a plus.
The Administrative Services Analyst is the fully qualified, journey level class in the Administrative Services Analyst series. This class is characterized by the responsibility for performing a wide variety of administrative services including fiscal operations, budget preparation and control, purchasing, contract administration and monitoring, work space flow and space utilization, staffing, general administration and independently conducting complex and difficult research and analytical studies within supervisory assigned parameters. This class provides management with the expertise required to identify, evaluate, and make recommendations to resolve a variety of complex organizational and administrative problems, including recommending changes in policies and procedures and developing methods for implementation. The Administrative Services Analyst II class may provide technical supervision to a clerical or technical support staff; however, analytical problem solving is the primary component of this class. The Administrative Services Analyst II class is distinguished from the Administrative Services Supervisor class by the latter's responsibility for projecting, justifying, recommending and implementing solutions to a variety of complex problems with limited direction and review from management. This class is also distinguished from the Administrative Services Officer class by the latter's responsibility for planning, organizing and managing administrative services activities in departments requiring a full-time, stand-alone administrative division to complete its mission.
