The Tulane University Medical Group (TUMG) Director of Contracting reports directly to the CEO, and provides development and execution of the contracting strategy, including all managed care related contracts and payer relations initiatives. The primary objective is to evaluate, negotiate and secure agreement to new and existing health insurance benefit payers and Hospital contracts. This position provides the leadership and direction to develop, recommend and implement programs, policies, procedures and standards that will provide guidance to secure and retain favorable payer contracts. This individual will serve as a key market leader and critical liaison between the markets managed care payers and TUMG operations.
