As the Procurement Specialist, you will manage assigned commodities, establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, coordinating cross-functional team interaction, and integrating material requirements through the supply chain. 

What the Procurement Specialist will do:

  • Evaluate existing suppliers and initiate the development of new suppliers and product.
  • Initiate, plan and implement supplier consolidation to benefit the company.
  • Develop and implement cost saving or profit improvement ideas
  • Negotiate price, terms and conditions, delivery, quality and service levels with suppliers.
  • Initiates RFP's and RFQ's from the simple to the complex.
  • Create, maintain, and update files on overall supplier performance
  • Generates/processes ECN’s and NCR’s when appropriate.
  • Must have the ability to travel as required both domestic and abroad.

What we’re looking for in a Procurement Specialist:

  •  Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with some related experience.
  • Prior utilization of MRP software for the fulfillment of ongoing production requirements.
  • Must be familiar with part qualification, first article acceptance and production readiness.
  • Procurement Specialist global sourcing experience desired.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong decision-making abilities

Software Requirements:

  • Prior utilization of ERP software for the fulfillment of ongoing production requirements. Epicor experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Suite especially excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with Vault or other PDM software
