Central MN Sexual Assault Center (CMSAC) is hiring!

Description: Full time position providing services to all victims/survivors of sexual violence and outreach to the Somali Community.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, knowledge of sexual violence issues, adaptability to working within a crisis team in a highly dynamic setting, excellent oral/written communication skills, cultural competency, willingness to travel within 4-county service area and work occasional weekend and evening hours, speaks both English and Somali.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide trauma-informed advocacy, crisis intervention, education, and one-to-one support and group support services to victims of sexual violence in the Somali community
Provide awareness and primary prevention education to students, community members, and multi-disciplinary professionals
Serve as staff back-up on the 24-hour crisis line as scheduled and respond to crisis and hospital calls received during business hours
Work with multidisciplinary professionals such as law enforcement, health care workers, legal personnel, to provide the best care for victims
Represent CMSAC in public settings
