Newcomb Art Museum seeks applications for a two-year, Andrew W. Mellon-funded Collection Research & Interpretation position. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Mellon Curatorial Research staff person will help to strengthen collections management, cataloguing, and interpretation for museum. This individual will research and write descriptions of each object, updating object descriptions and subject tags and democratize language referring to race and ethnicity to remove cultural biases and language that is informed by structural inequality, stereotypes, and exclusionary practices.
