The Assistant Director hires, trains, schedules, supervises, and evaluates over 30 part-time student IM officials and supervisors. This position establishes risk management procedures relevant to this functional program area and conducts facility inspections and staff training regularly to review procedures. Additional responsibilities include payroll processing, field reservations and scheduling, data management and reporting, and staff development and evaluations. The Assistant Director is a vital member of a Campus Recreation team of professional staff and contributes to the facilitation, promotion, and growth of recreational programs for the department and university community, assisting with departmental special events and serving on university committees. This position directly reports to the Associate Director of Recreation Programs.
