Job Description:

Supervision Received: Reports to the Director of Athletics. 
Salary: $7,000 stipend biweekly 

General Statement of Duties: Westfield State University invites application for the position of head cheerleading coach. The head coach will oversee all aspects of managing the cheerleading program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, evaluating and recruiting qualified student-athletes, organizing and conducting team practices, overseeing/coaching cheerleaders at football and basketball home games, participating in community events, preparing for and fundraising for annual or bi-annual trip to national competition. Coach will hire, supervise and evaluate part-time assistant coach. Coach will adhere to all NCAA Division III, UCA, and institutional and department policies and procedures.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Experience as a high school or collegiate coach 


Additional Information:

Salary:
For the majority of new employees, the minimum starting salary will apply. Specific salary for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining and state policies and procedures.

Covid-19 Requirements:

As a condition of employment, you will be required to complete an initial series of COVID vaccination (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of J&J) prior to coming to campus.
