Retail Store Manager - Salary is commensurate with experience starting at $72,000+ per year and upwards dependent on skillset and experience. If you have a passion for luxury fashion and home goods retail, the Retail Store Manager is for you! This position is located in our Flagship Store in Vail Village, Vail CO. Gorsuch is a luxury retailer of Women’s and Men’s apparel, high performance ski equipment & rentals, and home goods.

A. or B.S.) in business, fashion, retail management; or three to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Prior management in retail, experience in luxury fashion, lifestyle brand knowledge preferred. • The Retail Store Manager must be comfortable using a computer - basic navigation in MS products and online systems. • Ability to solve complex problems and handle complaints with poise, remaining polite and professional during extensive process of challenges. • Must work 8-6 for at least 5 days a week, including weekends and holidays.

Overall Duties: • Works with the Operations and Scheduling Manager to plan and prepare work schedules and assigning employees to specific duties. • Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays, in collaboration and at the direction of leadership, store set up staff, merchandising team and owners. • Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with till report, or preparing daily record of transactions for accounting, or performs work of subordinates, as needed. • Prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand. • Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and policies. • Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service. • Answers customer's complaints or inquiries. • Locks and secures store. • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. • Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions • Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item. • Examine products received for resale to assess the condition of each product or item. • Hire, train, and evaluate personnel, promoting or disciplinary action of staff when appropriate, in collaboration with Human Resources and Director of Operations. • Maintain shop keeping standards, such as cleaning and organizing shelves, storage areas and displays. • Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for their department. Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales. • Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised. • Control shrink, expenses, and payroll. • Prepare and ensure accuracy of staff time cards for payroll, through ADP Workforce Now System • Review inventory and sales records. • Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business. • Collaborate with Operations and Leadership on store for credit policies and operating procedures, ensure compliance with all these policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, walk through and audits. • Create a positive team environment. • Authorize payments and merchandise returns • Directly supervises employees in the Store Location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
