Iowa County – Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking applications for a full-time Nurse Manager. Essential duties include but are not limited to continuous quality improvement within the facility, daily nurse assessments, direction and management of nursing staff. Starting salary pay for this exempt position is $32.88/hr. - $36.53/hr. with a generous, comprehensive benefit package.  Applicants must be available for after hour responsibilities/weekends. 

Minimum requirement include: Associates Degree in Nursing with a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Wisconsin, two (2) years in long-term care or acute health care and must be CPR certified.

The Nurse Manager assists in maintaining nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing personnel policies and procedures.

Review documentation to ensure adherence to policies and procedures as well as State and Federal guidelines.

Provide case management for residents, coordinating with external physicians, nurses, and discharge planners for optimal continuity of care.

Provide direct nursing care as needed; Including, but not limited to operating medication/treatment carts, completing treatments, repositioning/transferring residents, monitoring for behaviors, and other duties as assigned.

Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting facility policy and standards of care, enforcing adherence to WI state regulations, measuring outcomes against standards, making or recommending adjustments.

Maintains cooperative relationships among multidisciplinary team by communication information, responding to requests, building rapport, participating in team problem-solving methods.

Assist in review, investigation of incident, accident reports, as well as resident/family grievances.

Completes managerial duties for performance valuations, and maintains systems to provide regular feedback and evaluations for employees.

Reviews physician’s orders for prompt implementation. Evaluates medication records, treatments records, and narrative charting for accuracy and completeness. Assist in audits of Medicare required documentation for optimal reimbursement. 

 

 

        10 Assists in the developing, maintaining, and updating of our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.

Ensure that the Nursing Procedures Manual is followed by the nursing department and that it reflects the day-to-day nursing care procedures used by the facility.

Coordinates admission and discharge process, including implementation of resident care plans; ensures adherence to physician’s orders.
