Civil Engineer PE and or EIT

This position is responsible for work on public work projects including site design, drainage, utilities and roadway design. Responsibilities may also include land development projects such as subdivisions and commercial site engineering, includes working on due diligence reports, rezone petitions, concept plans, design development, construction plans, permitting, and construction administration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of site facilities, roadways, minor structures, channels, irrigation projects, pipelines, water and sewage systems, and waste disposal units.

ESSENTIAL:

Civil Engineer candidate must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) with clients and permitting agencies. Candidate must be able to adhere to the codes of differing permitting agencies.

The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D in design of public works projects, residential, commercial and industrial projects of all sizes from field to finish.

Design/drafting responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

• Project time estimation, setup, scheduling and time management
• Topographic Mapping drawings
• Site Plans
• Roadway Design
• Grading/Drainage Plan design and drawing
• Storm Sewer Plan and Profile design and drawing
• Sanitary Sewer design and drawing
• Water Main design and drawing
• Paving Plan and Profile design and drawing
• Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control Plan design and drawing
• As built plans
• Perform quality control of engineering design projects
• Survey drafting experience such as; drawing legal descriptions, ALTA and Boundary 

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work hours may vary slightly over 40 hours but paid for every hour worked.
• Must be accustomed to working in an outside environment and be willing to work outdoors in any weather;
• Must work well under time constraints and in a fast paced environment;
• The ability to read plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals and material data sheets;

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• PE license or ability to obtain PE within two years.
