Job Description | The Assistant/Associate Dean for Clinical Medicine for the Knoxville location is faculty responsible for teaching, scientific scholarship and student progress through graduation. The Assistant/Associate Dean will provide leadership and oversight for the educational program in the final two, clinical, years at the Knoxville location and will work closely with the CAO Knoxville and the Assistant/Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical/BMS Knoxville to provide clinical oversight to the clinical portions of the first two, preclinical, years of the curriculum. The Assistant/Associate Dean will demonstrate a commitment to interprofessional clinical education throughout the curriculum. |
Required Qualifications | D.O. or M.D. degree from appropriately accredited COM/University; and five (5) years or greater of related leadership experience in post-baccalaureate health-related academic programs with direct student contact, *demonstrated knowledge of undergraduate and graduate medical education; *eligible for licensure in Tennessee;certification by an AOA/ABMS board; *eligible for faculty appointment at LMU-DCOM, preferably at associate professor or professor rank. |
Preferred Qualifications | Post- undergraduate and doctoral training experience teaching basic sciences, medical, and graduate courses; *at least five (5) years full time equivalent experience in the practice of medicine. |
