Corrections Nurse

Summit County, located in Utah, is seeking a full-time Corrections Nurse to perform a variety of professional nursing duties related to delivering technical public health nursing services and programs to inmates in the Summit County Corrections Facility. A working knowledge required of nursing theory, research methods, and evaluation of statistical data, crisis intervention methods and procedures, county and corrections facility general operations including applicable laws and regulations. Ability to develop patient care plans, communicate effectively, both verbal and written, and develop effective working relationships with professional health care personnel, elected officials, administrators, co-workers, and the public. Works under the general supervision of the Jail Commander or their designee. May hire a Corrections Nurse I, II, or III depending on submitted qualifications and experience.

Corrections Nurse I Salary Range: $50.875.86 - $71,309.06/annually Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited College with an Associate degree in Nursing No experience necessary or and equivalent of education and experience. Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah Must be CPR certified Must possess a valid driver's license with the State of Utah
