Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day shift, ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH TECHNICIAN 2 to join our Cardiology team! The Electrocardiograph Technician 2 will perform all technical aspects of non-invasive ECG diagnostic procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate various complex cardiac diagnostic equipment such as a Holter monitor scanner, ambulatory recorders, stress testing equipment and ECG machines
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment
  • Review patient's clinical record to obtain and record identifying information required for performing, conducting and reporting all ECG lab diagnostic procedures
  • Perform various routine and research ECG’s
  • Apply monitoring equipment to patients
  • Screen and compile final results for all ambulatory recordings/testing and patient reports
  • Produce procedure reports with comparisons for daily evaluation, interpretation and conformation by an Attending staff Cardiologist and medical students
  • Perform and/or assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Assist with computerized patient scheduling. Process patient billing information
  • Train medical assistants and other medical staff in the operation of electrocardiograph equipment
  • Assist in research projects involving the ECG laboratory
  • Perform related duties as required

    REQUIREMENTS:
    High school graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience as an ECG Technician I AND certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation AND certified by the National Alliance of Cardiovascular Technologists OR certified within one year from date of hire.
