McGuffey School District is looking for a Certified School Nurse for a Full-Time position beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. This position is included as part of the teachers collective bargaining agreement.

Job responsibilities:

Conducts school programs of physical examinations, sight and hearing testing. Maintains up-to-date cumulative health records on all students and protects their confidentiality. Provide information and services in school health related areas; assess, document and manage the health care needs of children in grades K-12, including those with disabilities; and to recognize symptoms and consequences of safety and environmental factors. Provide direct first aid, emergency, and preventative care, hold knowledge of State and local laws relating to health and school district, and possess strong time management and organizational skills.

The CSN will act as the liaison between families and the schools to communicate health care needs for students, will conduct professional development with staff regarding medical issues facing students and current trends.

Paraprofessional

McGuffey School District has an immediate opening for an aide on a van that transports students each school day. The pay would be 4 hours per day (2 AM and 2 PM). The van will leave Claysville Elementary parking lot at 6:30 a.m. and arrive back at the school at 8:00 a.m. In the afternoon, the van would be at the school at 2:30 p.m. and arrive back at the school by 4:00 p.m. The arrangement would be temporary until GG&C secures an aide for this position. McGuffey School District is looking for a Full-time Middle School Armed School Security Guard.

This Armed School Security Guard would be assigned to the Middle School during school hours. Candidates must have: a current Act 235 certification card and completed the NASRO Basic Course (National Association of School Resource Officers). Police Officer for a shift Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm for the McGuffey Middle School and High School. Successful candidates must have: • Act 120 certified or • Graduate of The Pennsylvania State Police Academy. Successful applicants must provide law enforcement to district schools and protect employees, students, and property to create a safe and healthy learning environment.
