Ross Township (Population 31,105), Allegheny County, PA seeks an experienced leader to serve as Township Manager. The Township is a dynamic suburban community adjacent to the northern border of the City of Pittsburgh. The Manager oversees all day-to-day operations of the governmental body and serves as the central point of contact for a nine-member Board of Commissioners. Township departments include Administration, Community Development, Finance, Parks & Recreation, Police, and Public Works. The Manager serves as Chief Administrative Officer and administers an annual budget of approximately $23,000,000. The Board of Commissioners seeks an outstanding communicative and innovative leader with demonstrated skills in community engagement.
Candidates should possess the following:
(1) A minimum of 3 – 5 years of progressive municipal management experience;
(2) Knowledge of local government principals and best management practices;
(3) Strong leadership, communication, and financial skills;
(4) Grant writing skills a plus;
(5) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is desired.
