Position Summary/Essential Duties:

• Primary responsibilities are accurate and efficient patient registration, procedure scheduling, charge transmittals, collections, and procurement.
• Representatives must use quality customer service techniques to ensure patient needs are met.
• Maintain professional interpersonal skills with patients, physicians and co-workers.
• Supports department operations.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities:  resolves issues, monitors schedules, assists staff/patients, and ensures effective/efficient departmental workflow.

Position works 4 days at the Minoff location and 1 day at the Westlake Health Center

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience & Knowledge:

Minimum 1 year experience as Patient Service Rep I.  Customer service experience, preferably in the medical field.  Typing skills.  Excellent verbal/communication skills.  Detail oriented.

Required Credentials, License, and / or Certifications:

CHAA Preferred

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

Basic computer knowledge.  ICD9 coding and medical terminology preferred.  Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
