Position Opening Assistant Utility Manager - The Charles Town Utility Board is accepting applications for this fulltime position responsible for: Works under the general direction of and assists the Utility Manager. Strong engineering background required in order to perform a variety of design and engineering efforts to ensure that customers receive the highest quality service. Under the guidance of the Utility Manager, assists in all aspects of water and wastewater operations. Enforces rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to Utility operations. Develops training and expertise to clearly define treatment goals, make recommendations for improvement, understand and stay current with treatment methods, and perform the required calculations related to the applications for specific treatment/project needs. Coordinate and manage requests for service from initial review through inspection. Provide full support in all project stages from bid proposal to final design. Enforces rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to Utility operations. Requires extensive interaction with the public and other public and private agencies. Ensures operational, financial, environmental and ethical excellence always. Desired Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field. Eight years' experience in Utility work with Wastewater or Water Operator License desirable. Computer literacy including CAD required.
