Description

To maintain a safe and clean working environment throughout the Ipswich/Topsfield campus for all EBSCO employees and their visitors.  The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, customer (employee) facing environment, prioritize the importance of their duties and get them done in the time that is allowed.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms
  • Replenish restroom stock and cleaning supplies throughout assigned areas
  • Empty trash receptacles and remove recycling
  • Sweep, dust and vacuum
  • Dry and wet mop floors, stairs and elevators
  • Wash walls, windows, whiteboards, furniture, railings and fixtures
  • Clean offices, cubicles and conference rooms
  • Respond to customer/employee requests and interact professionally with customers
  • Report maintenance or safety issues that require attention
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools and materials
  • Support event set-up/break-down and clean-up
  • Clean/disinfect common areas with antiviral and electrostatic sprayer
  • Remediate safety issues
  • Support technology teams relocating and organizing equipment
  • Remediate COVID-19 suspected and confirmed cases
  • Complete necessary cleaning/sanitizing, facilities and all other company required trainings
  • Perform monthly safety inspections for AEDs and first aid kits
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements Qualifications

  • Valid United States driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English
  • Ability to email, text and properly use applications via company issued smartphone
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (majority of the shift)
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a professional cleaner
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience as a professional cleaner
  • High school diploma or equivalent
