In this newly created role, the senior director of holistic wellness shall perform as the subject matter expert (SME) in holistic wellness within NHC. This role is essential to NHC’s desire to expand approaches beyond traditional healthcare solutions with the intent of achieving meaningful levels of holistic wellness.

You will perform as a key team member within the New Hope Community workforce and have influence in shaping behaviors that support long term personal health and wellness from both a global and localized view; translating your high-level vision into an executable and actionable plan within the New Hope Community.

Reports to: COO
Supervises: Director of Health Services; Director of Clinical Services; QIDPs; Art, Music and Recreational Therapies.

Essential Characteristics and Responsibilities:

  • Strategy - Creates viable plans that when executed will support NHC’s overarching goals of providing holistic wellness services which enhance overall quality of life.
  • Program Development – Creates programs and plans which are supported by empirical data and industry best practices.
  • Measurable Outcomes – Creates key impact measurements in collaboration with department heads (track, trend, interpret, respond) as well as develop methods to capture and measure the success and viability of initiatives which are rolled out through this position.
  • Research – Maintains a relevant and current knowledge base to inform and strengthen NHC’s efforts to provide cutting edge holistic wellness services.
  • Reporting – Develops and deliver written and verbal reports which reflect the efforts, impact, and direction of the holistic wellness program.
  • Staffing – Leads, coaches, and mentors interdepartmental directors and direct programmatic staff.
  • Leadership and Organization – Demonstrates a transformational leadership style that uses positive disruption, intellectual stimulation and motivation to fuel empowerment.
  • Emotional Intelligence – Possesses and demonstrates a high emotional intelligence (EI) that consistently nurtures the team’s deep commitment to the mission and purpose of New Hope Community.
  • Self-Expression – Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills that clearly articulate a wide array of messaging to a diverse audience.
  • Idea Generator – Initiates ideas that impact processes and systems important to holistic wellness programs.
  • Adaptable – Possesses a pragmatic perspective which is agile and responsive to varying situations.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must be a well-regarded professional who has a combined 10+ years of leadership experience actively participating in and leading holistic wellness efforts within an organizational and/or clinical environment. Additionally, the successful candidate must have:
  • A track record demonstrating high strategic and entrepreneurial thinking supported by the precise execution of all plans.
  • Demonstrated success in leadership role(s) managing within complex organization(s) in this highly regulated human services sector.
  • An understanding of and interest in working with, a rural-based service provider.
  • A reputation as a team builder with demonstrated success leading, motivating and collaborating with a large group of professional and direct support staff.
  • The ability to articulate New Hope Community’s message to a broad range of constituents that includes staff, families, community members and regulators.
  • A Master’s or higher degree in health, human services, business administration with a concentration in health services management. Board-certified behavior analyst, licensed psychologist or LCSW strongly preferred.
