AIandYou.org is seeking a part-time Social Media Manager who is passionate about communications and nonprofits, and who knows intuitively how to leverage social media to further a client’s mission. The Social Media Manager will develop and execute social media strategy, including posting and audience engagement. They will also schedule, curate, and create social media content, represent clients on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, create promotional materials, and will source new ways of promoting clients’ brands. 

A successful candidate would:

• Develop and execute a social media strategy.
• Execute a plan to increase social media awareness and organization visibility.
• Have a background in or deep familiarity with tech, artificial intelligence, and science.
• Post across platforms regularly while engaging with audience.
• Stay current with social media practices and trends.
• Post in client voice and cultivate knowledge of client area.
• Measure the effectiveness of social media efforts through detailed analytics and strategize methods for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required) in marketing, communications, or related fields.
• Relevant professional experience in social media and writing. 5-8 years of professional experience in social media management. (Portfolio or reference content required).
• Experience using social media management tools (e.g. HootSuite, etc.)
• Demonstrated excellence in web writing.
• Ability to assume a leadership role in facilitating social media strategy.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate next steps.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communications skills.
