As Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance for one or more products managing test cases, automation and accepting responsibility along with Product and Engineering for the delivery and health of crucial revenue generating products.

About Your Responsibilities:

  • Take complete ownership of all QA deliverables and engage with Product team, Development teams, and Business stakeholders to get a clear understanding of requirements and to bring the release the best quality features.
  • Perform business/system requirements analysis and review.
  • Work in an Agile team environment and define detailed QA Automation strategy and implement testing ideas to test the sprint features.
  • Understands and defines all scenarios and test cases to satisfy each functional requirement for the application being tested.
  • Documents, updates, and organizes all testing materials according to defined procedures
  • Support release process and perform QA
  • Create/track/document software defects in designated defect tracking tools.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and work with developers on issues and ensure that all defects are brought to resolution prior to deployment.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of QA methodologies including functional, performance, BDD, regression, black-box, white-box testing, systems & e2e integration testing, cross-functional system testing, and other testing strategies.
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using Selenium/Cypress or any other open source tools.
  • Experience with API and Front-end Automation test scripts.
  • Experience with using Jira or similar tool for Issue tracking.
  • Experience with using other tools like Postman, Browser Development tools etc.


About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years in the QA field in testing consumer facing web applications and the supporting backend systems.
  • Understanding of software QA processes and methodologies/tools.
  • Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills to discover the root causes.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal). Must be able to communicate in a concise and effective manner.
  • Self-starter with great interpersonal skills and creative problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask to meet deadlines for various releases delivering a quality product.
  • Strong attention to detail with a good work ethic and ability to complete large volumes of work efficiently and effectively.
  • Professional, reliable, self-motivated, results-oriented and capable of working under limited direction.
  • Goal oriented and action-focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common objectives.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as an independent contributor.
  • Work closely with product managers, business analysts and developers throughout the development cycle to nail down requirements and set expectations and estimates for testing.
  • Experience writing SQL queries, preferably against MySQL and No SQL DB
  • Experience using automation testing tools.
  • Any load/stress/performance testing with any tool is a plus.
  • Working experience on any programming languages is a plus
  • Understanding of continuous integration practices is a plus


Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Digital Marketing / Online advertising (SEO/SEM) an advantage
  • Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies and principles
  • Eager attitude ready to solve challenges on a daily basis
  • Curious and motivated by new concepts and ideas
  • Driven to accomplish goals, setting trends and obliterating the agenda

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $59,400 and $140,300. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
