This position is located in the Sheriff's Office, directly supervising staff and day-to-day operations of the data control or records units. This is a technical position that requires knowledge and management of various local, State, and Federal databases. This position will manage a program with multiple components or several sub-programs of a larger program and independently supervise two or more work groups supporting assigned programs. Incumbents provide direction and oversight to staff, plan and monitor goals and objectives for assigned work units, and ensure work adheres to policies and procedures. The incumbent acts as a liaison between agencies with the highest level of confidentiality as well as manage the Terminal Agency Coordinator that affects the liability of State/Federal compliance for the Sheriff's Office as a whole.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position is FLSA exempt and therefore not overtime eligible. Typical work hours are 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be necessary to respond to workload needs, which may include evenings and weekends
The Data Control Unit Supervisor is the expert technical resource for the Data Control Unit and the Sheriff’s Office. This position is responsible for the management and evaluation of the unit's activities, multiple systems and sub-programs. It plans, schedules and supervises the work activities of subordinates providing program and systems support. It also provides assistance, guidance and direction with difficult or unusual problems. Duties include but are not limited to:
