The City of Green is currently accepting resumes for a vacancy on the Civil Service Commission.

The Civil Service Commission is a Charter-mandated body of three (3) members who serve six-year terms; and, currently meet at 6 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the City of Green Central Administration Building. Members of the Commission shall be persons of recognized competence in personnel administration, public administration, labor relations, law, or relevant field. This is a six-year commitment commencing January 1, 2019.

The Civil Service Commission is charged with providing a merit system for appointments and promotions without regard for political patronage, promoting standards for job performance and professional conduct and acting as an appellate body for major disciplinary actions or discharge of protected, classified employees.
