Pownal elementary school intensive special needs specialist/in-school reflection room provide academic, behavioral, and transition support to students during all school activities. Knowledge of functional behavior assessments (fba). Provide social skills instruction to students at all tiered levels of intervention.

Collaborative partnership with school counselor to support student needs.

Associate's degree, or successful completion of an approved paraprofessional assessment test required. 3 years or more of relevant experience preferred. Ability to become certified and proficient in the following within 6 months of hire: o district crisis prevention institute (cpi) procedures and protocol o cpr and first aid o additional training as required for assignment monument elementary school special education paraprofessional assist teachers in instructional or supportive services and small group instruction. Supervise and support students with disabilities. Provide learning opportunities to improve academic and social skills.

Operate classroom and office equipment. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and community members all paraprofessionals must meet state definition of highly qualified paraprofessional (hqp) through one of the following: associates degree, successful completion (b-minus or better) of at least 48 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning, or successful completion of an approved paraprofessional assessment test required. Two to three years relevant experience preferred.
