Performs EVS duties in an effective, efficient manner completing all steps in the 7 Step Cleaning Process. Performs assigned duties according to quality standards to ensure a clean & comfortable environment for patients, visitors & staff. Keeps cleaning cart, equipment hopper room & trash-room clean & organized. All cleaning materials properly labeled. Responsible for positive verbal & non-verbal interactions with patients, families, visitors & other employees. Provides assistance to these individuals as needed or finds the appropriate individual to provide the assistance requested. Will be required to properly & safely use cleaning chemicals per manufacturer standards. Cleans offices, patient/resident rooms, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, halls, food service areas & any other areas that may require attention. Sweeps, mops & vacuums hallways, stairs & office space. Cleans light fixtures, ceilings & vents, walls mattresses, furniture, windows & window coverings. Empties trash & garbage containers, may transport waste with sealed lids to outside compactor Replenishes supplies & materials. Moves furniture & sets-up tables & chairs. Notifies leaders concerning any need for any maintenance repairs or additions. Complies with all company safety & risk management policies & procedures. Reports all accidents & injuries in a timely manner. Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training & hazard assessments. Applies all applicable OSHA & related local safety requirements to all assigned work. Attends training programs required (classroom & virtual) & completes all assigned training within the allotted time. May transport & package Regulated Medical Waste & Chemo Waste. May change cubicle curtains & shower curtains.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 1 year of cleaning experience required. Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
