Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider will serve in a full-time role to provide care to patients on the electrophysiology service as well as provide cross coverage of other Cardiology services at the SUNY Upstate Downtown campus.  Responsibilities include providing expert level clinical care and coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care assessing and evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation and therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant or eligible.

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA or eligible required.

Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required.

NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cardiology experience preferred.
