The Student Engagement Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for students who are exhibiting signs of distress, are experiencing issues which are impacting their success at Wichita State University, or otherwise need help and are unsure of where to go. By assisting students in accessing resources and services to remove barriers to success, the Coordinator aids in the University's retention efforts.

Additionally, the Coordinator serves as the Case Manager for the Care Team, including case assignment, recording meeting minutes, maintaining records, and communicating with students, faculty, staff, off-campus entities, and family members to aid in student success. The Coordinator and Case Manger will supervise one graduate practicum student.
