Administrative Associate for ID Card and Finance Office– Part Time/Temporary

University Auxiliary Services at Albany, Inc. (UAS) http://www.albany.edu/uas  is seeking a part time temporary Administrative Associate for our ID Card and Finance Office. This position requires approximately twenty (20) hours per week mornings and/or early afternoons on weekdays and is expected to last for approximately 90 days with a possible opportunity for permanency after the new year begins. 

Under the supervision of the ID Card Director, the Administrative Associate for ID Card and Finance performs skilled information processing and direct customer service in person, by phone and by email.  Additional responsibilities may involve assisting with ID card associated door access, monitoring of door schedules, auditing and coding cash receipts and disbursements, inputting accounts payable vouchers, entering and maintaining employee records in the payroll system, running necessary data and payroll-related reports, and preparing, distributing and/or filing documents. 

Ideal candidates will have at least an associate’s degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science or related field, and a minimum of two years’ relevant experience including direct customer service.  Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.  Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Preferred qualifications include bachelor’s degree, notary public and/or experience with computer hardware, operating systems, SQL/CRUD programming, CSGold or other ID Card and access system, MAS 90/ Sage 100 or other financial transaction processing system, Podio or other project management or work order systems, and higher education and or campus meal plans. The applicant must be able to work individually and as a member of a team, possess strong communication and troubleshooting skills, have the ability to interact with a diverse population, and be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
