The Emergency Services Unit (ESU) within the Site Protection Office has an immediate opening for a Lieutenant/Driver Operator that will lead emergency services officers with a Captain and perform required security, fire, EMS operational and administrative duties including but not limited to platoon staffing and site-wide inspection management of response systems.
Under the direction of a supervisor, performs and directs routine Protective Force (ProForce)/security, fire and EMS rescue duties in establishing emergency readiness and providing emergency response capability as an Emergency Services Officer (ESU) within ESU when needed. Performs the requirements of fire rescue pump operations and apparatus control. In the absence of the Captain, the Lieutenant/Driver Operator shall assume the duties of the Captain including but not limited to supervision of officers, emergency services unit scheduling and on-scene command. Must maintain personal physical standards required to meet the potential rigorous challenges of this position.

Education and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year security experience; minimum three (3) years Fire Fighter experience in a paid or volunteer fire company; minimum of three (3) years as an Emergency Medical Technician. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills; successful completion of PPPL Driver Operator training. Must have previous leadership or supervisory experience.
No criminal history.
Valid state driver’s license, and a favorable driving record.
Must work a schedule that includes rotational shift, weekends and holidays.
Will be required to work a twenty-four (24) hour work schedule.
May be required to work mandatory overtime to meet division requirements.
Ability to work in all types if weather conditions.
Exercises sound judgment.
The ability to maintain the mental alertness necessary to perform all essential functions without posing a direct threat to self or others.
The ability to understand and share essential, accurate communication by written, spoken, audible, visible or other signals while using required protective equipment.
