Position Summary/Essential Duties:
Organizes and conducts defined portions of the Speech-Language Pathology to facilitate the habilitation or rehabilitation of people with speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing disabilities. Directs patient participation in selected activities to establish, enhance, and restore speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing abilities or compensate for their loss. MA or MS Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited graduate program.
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):
Eligible for provisional Ohio Speech-Language Pathology License
Experience & Knowledge:
Requires the evaluation and treatment skills necessary to provide Speech-Language Pathology services appropriate to the developmental/chronological age of patients on his/her caseload.
Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
Must have professional initiative, objectivity, good time management and interpersonal skills. Must be physically, cognitively and perceptually able to provide patient treatment and be able to assist in patient transfers and handle equipment.
