- Service Assistant - 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing for guests by cleaning and setting tables
  • Buffet Set up and break down
  • Greeting patrons, and if needed, escorting guests to tables
  • Assisting guests by providing menus; keeping menus clean and presentable
  • Serving water to guests and refilling beverage glasses as needed
  • Placing and replacing silverware as needed
  • Delivering beverages from the bartender
  • Stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, condiments, and salt and pepper containers
  • Removing guests’ dirty dishes and utensils
  • Delivering used dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Assisting dishwashers to scrape, stack, or load dishes into dishwasher as needed
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, or mopping dining room
  • Removing trash and recycling; replacing trash bags
  • Cleaning up guest spills as needed
  • Directing guests to restrooms or exits as needed
  • Clearing table as guests complete their meals and preparing tables for next guests
  • Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures
  • Performing closing activities such as cleaning chairs and tables, stacking chairs, preparing stations for morning shift
  • Additional duties may include assisting kitchen staff with preparing ingredients and cleaning kitchen surfaces

Service Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to move and clean quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly “people-person”; polite and courteous to all patrons
  • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
  • Excellent at verbal communication
  • Works well and efficiently under pressure
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Willing to work nights and weekends
  • Physically able to wipe down table tops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to carry 25 or more pounds; able to push vacuum or mop
  • Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift
  • Must pass background check
  • Able to speak English
  • Eager to learn and grow with restaurant

- Restaurant Server -

Looking for Servers who are responsible for positive member interactions while serving members in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our members’ needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

The right person will be passionate about food and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working as a Server in a country club, restaurant or nursing home setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare room/sections for service
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars
  • Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
  • Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
  • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
  • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting patrons to return
  • Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to host; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Provide welcoming phone greeting and following Guest ordering procedures
  • Convey menu information over the phone to Guests and give accurate estimate of delivery time
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Previous serving experience required

  • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
  • Food Handlers Card & TABC Certification

- Bartender -

Job Summary:
Prepares and servers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Job Duties - not limited to the follow responsibilities:

1) Arrive on time and in proper uniform
2) Ensure all areas are member ready
3) Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies are available
4) Request additional supplies as necessary
5) Collects member charges
6) Completes a daily spill sheet
7) Maintain current TABC and Food Handler certification
8) Keep bar clean and organized
9) Cocktailing, serving, bussing and/or answering the phone
10) Report any complaints or issues to manager as soon as they occur
11) Set up all bottles of liquors and wines according to category on designated shelves
12) Cut fresh lemons and limes and place in condiment caddy, as well as extra limes as needed for the day
13) Set out salt rimmer filled with salt for Bloody Mary’s and Margaritas
14) Fill juice containers with the proper juices
15) Prepare 4 compartment sink water cleaning solutions
16) Prepare cocktail orders as requested by members, guests, and servers
17) Report any broken or missing items to your manager
18) Perform monthly inventory
19) Wash any glassware returning to the bar and as used, polish and put away properly
20) Fill out requisition sheet for liquor, beer, and wine as needed
21) Put away liquor, beer and wine after requisition and at the end of the night
22) Wipe down and sanitize front/back bar, countertops, glass shelves, beer cooler, and dish pit
23) Sweep and mop floor and return mats to floor prior to the end of your shift
24) Clean and sanitize bar mats
25) Throw away all juices and fruits and wash containers (on Sundays)
26) Ensure that the area behind POS is clean, organized, and free of clutter
27) Completes a nightly requisition
28) Lock all cabinets and coolers
