Current Opportunity:
Our Downtown Public Health team is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Family Health Clinic offering primary care services to low income families (newborn to seniors) with medical complexity and social vulnerability. Our multidisciplinary team includes core public health physicians, ARNPs, Swedish Family Medicine Residents and Preceptors, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health specialist, nutrition services, interpreters, referral coordinators, administrative staff and insurance enrollment assistance staff. This RN will coordinate with multiple programs within the facility in order to provide clients with seamless care. The responsibilities include nursing triage, assessments and interventions, patient care planning, evaluation, and medical care coordination, adult and pediatric immunizations, and mental health screening. The RN also carries out prescribed treatments, administers medications, and coordinates activities with other health care staff in order to assure the orderly and safe provision of health care services. The RN facilitates and assures daily clinic activities and operations. The RN maintains the clinic environment, coordinates the patient care team efforts and directs efficient clinic flow. The RN delegates tasks to the health care team within the scope of practice to achieve desirable patient outcomes and efficient clinic functioning.
Work Location and Schedule:
The primary worksite for this position is at the Downtown Public Health Center which is located at 2124 Fourth Avenue Seattle, WA 98121. This is term-limited temporary (TLT) flexing up to 1.0 depending on patient volume. Typical work hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. This position is projected to end June 2021 but may be extended.
