Senior Manager, Engineering professional needed at Wal-Mart in Sunnyvale, CA. Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field & 6 years of exp building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software. Wal-Mart will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Duties:

• Work collaboratively with various teams to develop high level and technical architecture of systems, including Product Management, Web Operations, Business, and User Experience teams.
• Establish consistent design patterns. Develop large-scale, complex, cross-functional features for Walmart eCommerce.
• Manage onshore and offshore engineering teams.
• Manage the execution of multiple business initiatives and projects by identifying customer and operational needs.
• Support business objectives by collaborating with business and engineering partners to identify opportunities, define priorities, and drive resolutions.
• Drive root cause analysis of critical business and production issues to prevent future occurrences.
• Review and approve potential solutions.
• Establish performance standards and conduct regular performance audits and take action.
• Supervise 9 employees (Senior Software Engineer(s), Staff Software Engineers(s), Software Engineer III(s)).

Minimum education and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 6 years of experience building scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software.

Skills required:

• Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, CSS, and AngularJS based web applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Application Programming Interface development.
• Experience with J2EE. Ecommerce and retail experience. Experience with web application deployment and related infrastructure requirements. Experience with web analytics software like Adobe Omniture.
• Experience with onshore and offshore development models.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA for software development.
