King County Superior Court is seeking an innovative and creative HR professional to serve as the court’s Human Resources Manager. Superior Court Human Resources is central to the court’s success, supporting all court employees to realize their professional goals and supporting the court’s strategic agenda through the HR function. The responsibilities of this position include ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws, as well as court policies; and providing professional level support to employee and labor relations, employee disability accommodations, talent acquisition, and job classification and compensation analysis. Under general direction from and reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for managing and conducting all aspects of talent acquisition, including applicant sourcing, recruitment and selection.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be successful at building and maintaining strong working relationships across the court, with the King County Executive Branch and other King County agencies. Successful candidates will be adept at working with process and procedural details in this hands-on role. In-depth experience in more than one area of HR is critical.

Work location: Primary work location is the King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue in Seattle, Washington. Incumbent may be required to work at other court facilities.
Work schedule: This is full-time position. The Court’s business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work hours for this position may vary, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not overtime eligible. A hybrid work schedule with a mix of onsite and remote work.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, with seven years of professional level human resources experience; or any combination of experience and education demonstrating requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.
