Director Ambulatory Quality - Center For Quality

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 0800-1630

Summary: 

Summary:
In partnership with the Medical Director, Ambulatory Quality will collaboratively lead ambulatory quality management across The MetroHealth System. A leader within the MetroHealth Quality & Safety Institute and works to ensure that safe and reliable processes are embedded into the delivery of ambulatory health care and MHS ambulatory care values patient safety, clinical excellence, evidence-based medicine, and continuous learning. Develops plans designed to improve the overall quality of the ambulatory facilities and patient care services. Oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other accreditation standards. Collaborates with hospital leadership and medical staff to promote identification of organizational vulnerabilities, health care design using human factors and system principles, and learning to understand and prevent adverse events, achieve high reliable processes and outstanding clinical outcomes. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Required:
Master’s degree in a related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
Four years management experience in a healthcare setting.
Displays the ability to be collaborative and a quick study.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.).
Possesses a high degree of analytic ability, ability to manage multiple priorities, and the ability to pivot from one assignment to the next with ease.
Driven by personal values that are consistent with the System’s values with a focus on the best interests of the System.
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Four years quality improvement experience.
Formal process improvement training.
Knowledge of EPIC functionality.
Possesses broad knowledge of current and historical perspectives on healthcare business management and administration, clinical practice management, clinical research and education, hospital administration and management, finance, human resources and organizational development, information systems, and managed care.

Physical Demands:
May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to read job related documents.
Ability to use computer.
