Chief Financial Executive

Choice Health Management Services - Experienced Health Care Chief Financial Executive needed to provide overall leadership of finance and accounting team for multi-facility NC-based organization in long-term care. Position reports to COO, and will lead in a fast-paced environment managing key functions including all accounting functions, management of Medicare/Medicaid Billing, Receivables, Payables, and financial systems design. Private ownership with 50+ years of health care leadership. Position is based at corporate HQ in Claremont, NC. Successful candidate will have proven track record in health care Controller/CFO leadership

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead Finance & Accounting Team
• Direct monthly financial reporting of key business initiatives
• Provide ongoing financial analysis of development and operational results against the budget
• Work side-by side with the Executive Team and/or Finance personnel within and/or across other business facilities, to fully understand the business and support financial goals and objectives
• Develop and implement processes and controls to support these goals/objectives as needed
• Provide analysis and support to enhance efficiencies of financial operations
• Develop systems for key financial and operating initiatives
• Directly supervise key financial operating personnel as required; effectively support and promote the development of staff as required

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent field
• CPA designation (CMA a plus)
• 8+ years broad experience in multiple Finance disciplines
• 3 plus years of Health Care industry executive experience (including Medicaid & Medicare)
• Experience reporting to Executive Leadership in a strategic capacity
• Ability to complete complex projects and influence change in complicated, fast-paced, business environment
• Strong working knowledge of financial systems, financial statements and management reports
• Demonstrated success partnering with, leading and influencing multiple teams responsible for complex operations
• 3+ years managerial and leadership experience of a broad spectrum of professional finance staff (e.g. accounting, reimbursement process, medical analysis, financial analysis, budgeting, etc.)
• Experience in health care software systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA, MS-Accounting or equivalent graduate business degree
• 7 years health care accounting/financial experience
• 5 plus years of Medicaid / Medicare Billing experience
