Lead Audio Visual (A/V)

This position is responsible for leading a team of workers in performing field installation projects of interactive boards/Panel/Projectors and peripheral equipment including delivery to work sites & offsite trash removal. Will assist and manage performance of emplo- yees and/or subcontractor personnel. Team leader position provides the opportunity to refine the basic skills gained through by acquiring additional skills through experience in order to qualify for advancement to the intermediate level of Field Project Manager. Ideal candidate will be experienced using standard power tools, running cables/wires, hanging & mounting items to a wall/ceiling and lifting up to 75 pounds over an 8-hour day. Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school or six months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience; and Minimum of 2 years of installation experience of which at least one year is progressively responsible, relevant project experience.

Preferred: Background in dealing with project administration, managing A/V equipment installations and/or A/V work at customer sites.

KNOWLEDGE OF: Principles, practices & methods of installation projects. Working knowledge of database pr- ograms is preferred. Clear understanding & interpretation of Statement of Work documents. Working knowledge of A/V wiring preferred. Mechanical knowledge of machines & tools. Basic to intermediate construction knowledge.

SKILL AT: Planning, coordinating, & managing field installation projects; assisting lower levels in problem solving, etc. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Intermediate to high level of PC technical skills required. Good communications skills required. It is essential for incumbent to have the ability to work independently with guidance to prioritize and complete tasks as per defined deadlines. Attention to detail a must. Strong interpersonal skills essential.
